This fascinating tour will take you to discover the volcanic territory of Mount Etna, Europe's highest active volcano. The Vinobus is available every Wednesday and Sunday. Depart from the heart of Catania our itinerary starts around 9:00 a.m. meeting at Catania (e.g. Piazza Scammacca, Piazza Stesicoro or Central Station) with a dedicated guide which will show you the places and wineries along the route in Italian and English. With our comfortable Etna Wine Bus enjoying a scenic drive along the iconic Cyclops Riviera, passing through the charming fishing villages of Aci Castello and Aci Trezza we head inland to the southeastern slopes of Mount Etna. At 12:00 guided tour, wine and food tasting at the first winery or olive oil producer. Tasting of 2 Etna DOC wines and a plate with typical products such as cured meats, cheeses, olives, extra virgin olive oil and bruschetta. At 14:00 (2 p.m.) Guided tour, wine and food tasting at the second winery. You'll explore the vineyard and wine-making facilities, learning about the unique terroir of the Etna region and you'll enjoy a tasting of Etna wines paired with traditional Sicilian delicacies.
