Description
The Diocesan Museum of Catania is the museum of the Cathedral and the episcopal see. The works of diocesan origin acquired by the museum mainly attest to the events and moments of the lives of certain churches, regular and secular, of the territory. It also houses the silver fercolo of the Patron Saint S. Agata. The museum is divided into two sections: the first, dedicated to the liturgical furnishings of the Cathedral, and the second dedicated to the furnishings of other churches in the city and diocese. Finally, from its panoramic terraces, it is possible to admire the baroque city from above.
