Description
This Sicilian cooking class in Catania takes place in Mariella's own home, just minutes on foot from the central squares of the old town. She was born in the city under Mount Etna, and her kitchen looks out over the sea. You cook alongside her from start to finish.
Over about three and a half hours you make a first course of pasta, a vegetable side and a traditional Sicilian dessert, from fresh seasonal produce. Mariella passes on recipes that came down from her grandmother, along with the little secrets of her family's cooking. Feel free to take notes and photos as you go, and every recipe you cook is handed to you to take home.
