Description

Reach an altitude of 2,900 meters in an all-terrain vehicle at the foot of the summit craters of Mount Etna, and walk on the extinct 2002 craters with a volcanological guide.

Discover the north side of Mount Etna in a unique experience among volcanic landscapes, off-road vehicles, and spectacular panoramic views. The tour starts from Piano Provenzana and, aboard special 4x4 vehicles with a volcanological guide, follows a mountain path up to an altitude of 2,900 meters, right at the foot of the summit craters. From here, you can admire the Valle del Leone, the Valle del Bove, and the majestic Northeast and Southeast craters, taking advantage of a stop to take memorable photos and listen to interesting facts and answers from the guide. After the stop, you will descend in a 4x4 to about 2,100 meters for a short walk (about 20 minutes) along the rim of one of the craters formed during the 2002 eruption, with evocative views of the surrounding environment. The excursion concludes with the return to Piano Provenzana in the comfortable 4x4 vehicles. The experience is accompanied from start to finish by licensed volcanological guides, so you can experience the best of Mount Etna safely and with accurate information.
