Description
An Etna 4x4 morning tour that crosses old and new lava fields, stops at side craters and the Valle del Bove, enters a lava cave and ends with a local tasting.
An Etna 4x4 morning tour is a relaxed way to see the volcano: you ride instead of climbing, and the morning light suits the lava landscape. After a short briefing the 4x4 sets off along a route that changes scenery with every stretch, from high-altitude forests to black fields of old and recent lava.
A volcano or nature guide rides with you and the stops are the heart of the half day:
- an area of side craters, a short easy walk from the track
- a lookout above the Valle del Bove
- a lava cave formed by a lava slide, visited with a helmet and caving lights supplied
The morning ends with a tasting of sweet and savoury specialities from the Etna area. The tour lasts about five hours, which makes it a good fit for couples, families and anyone who wants a complete outing on the mountainon the mountain.
Free private parking is included, and a baby seat for children from 0 to 3 years can be reserved in advance.
