Description
On this Mount Etna quad tour the long drive to the volcano and the search for parking are done for you. You are collected at your accommodation in Catania or its hinterland and taken straight to the mountain, where a briefing and safety gear come before you set off on an automatic quad that carries up to two people.
The guided route crosses solidified lava fields and old eruptive fractures, stops at U Pagghiaru, a rural building that recalls the trulli of Apulia, and passes through channels, broom forests and pine woods that are centuries old. The black rock and green forest sit side by side, and the way back follows the bed of an ancient stream in a panoramic loop.
