Etna Summit 3300m: Trekking on the Active Volcano

Experience the unique thrill of walking on the active craters of Mount Etna at over 3,300 meters above sea level! A once-in-a-lifetime adventure on the roof of Sicily! Travel the first part in a 4x4 and then on foot.

Meeting place in Piano Provenzana, Etna North. After the briefing and equipment check with a special 4x4 off-road vehicle, we will reach an altitude of 2,900 meters, where the trekking will begin. The volcanic area, the beautiful landscape, the view of northern and eastern Sicily, the Aeolian Islands and the Calabrian coast will make the climb even more exciting. We are on the wildest and least known side of Mount Etna, far from the usual sightseeing tours. Crossing lava fields, our trekking will lead us to the summit area of the highest active volcano in Europe. The time spent at the top will always depend on the volcanic activity and weather conditions. After admiring the impressive view of the summit area, we will begin the descent through the sandy gulleys that will lead us to the Pizzi Deneri area, from where you can enjoy a majestic view of the Bove Valley. We will return to the starting point in Piano Provenzana in a 4x4 off-road vehicle.
