Description
This sailing tour in Catania leaves from the city centre harbour and follows the Ionian coast under sail, with an experienced skipper on board. The route passes the Caves of Odysseus and reaches Acitrezza, the land of the Malavoglia family, with the sea doing most of the storytelling.
The boat stops for a swim in clear water. Then comes the aperitif: a glass of Prosecco and an appetiser with typical Sicilian flavours, served on board.

Between the departure and the swim there is time to settle in and watch the coast slide by from the water. The tour lasts about four hours, which leaves time to swim without hurrying, and runs in the morning, in the afternoon or at sunset. The Ionian coast is the setting from start to finish, with the swim and the aperitif as the two high points. Bring a swimsuit, a beach towel, sunscreen and a hat. It is not suitable for people with mobility impairments, claustrophobia, heart problems or epilepsy.
