Description
The Mount Etna sunset jeep tour starts with a pickup at your chosen meeting point, then climbs into the volcano's park by Jeep or air-conditioned van. It is a half-day outing of five to five and a half hours, built around the light at the end of the day.
The road runs past dormant craters and the Valle del Bove. The guide explains the volcano and stops where old explosive activity left its marks, such as the Hornitos, or at a lava flow cave that you enter wearing a helmet and holding a flashlight. Along the way you taste products from Zafferana Etnea.

Trekking shoes can be arranged beforehand by contacting the organizer, and a car seat is available for infants. Sneakers or closed shoes are required; flip-flops and sandals are not allowed. In bad weather the itinerary may change for safety.
